Southern Comfort Sausage Cake(In Honor Of Princess Patty) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean sausage (uncooked), 2 c. brown sugar, 1 1/2 c. dark raisins, 1 1/2 c. water and 3 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bring the raisins and the water to a boil before adding to the other ingredients.
Stir or mix with hands the sausage and light brown sugar together.
Add the boiled raisins and water.
Mix all the dry ingredients together and add to the sausage-raisins mixture alternately with the Southern Comfort.
Then add the nuts. Stir all well and pour into a 9 x 13 x 2-inch Pyrex baking dish, or in a Bundt pan, well-greased and bake 1 hour (more or less) in a 375Β° preheated oven.
When cake is done and cooled for perhaps 10 minutes one can pour a glaze over.
