South Seas Chicken
South Seas Chicken is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. all purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1 tbsp. paprika and 1 2 1/2 to 3 lb. chicken, cut up, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika in paper bag.
Add chicken, shake to coat.
Reserve 2 Tbsp. flour mixture for gravy. Brown chicken in oil in skillet.
Place chicken in 9x13-inch baking dish.
Add onions, carrots and celery.
Blend reserved flour mixture, brown sugar, and ginger into pan drippings; stir to make smooth paste.
Add orange juice concentrate and 3/4 c water.
Cook until bubbly.
Pour over chicken.
Bake covered at 350Β° for 1 1/2 hours.
