Sour Cream Chocolate Cake
Sour Cream Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. shortening and 1 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Grease and lightly flour 2 (8 x 1 1/2-inch) or (9 x 1 1/2-inch) round baking pans.
Stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
In a mixer bowl, beat shortening on medium speed of an electric mixer for 30 seconds.
Add sugar and vanilla; beat to combine well.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating for 1 minute after each.
Stir in cooled chocolate and sour cream.
Add dry ingredients and cold water alternately to beaten mixture, beating on low speed.
Turn into pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cook 10 minutes in wire racks.
Makes 12 servings.
