Sift flour, soda and salt.
Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add sour cream alternately with flour mixture.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake in tube pan at 300° to 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
Turn out of pan immediately.
Serve plain or with frosting.
