Soft Pretzels(Snack) is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1 1/2 c. warm water, 1 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. sugar and 2 c. each: whole wheat and white flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mix yeast in warm water; stir in salt and sugar.
Add 4 cups flour; mix well.
Turn the dough onto a floured surface to knead for 5 to 10 minutes.
Pull off walnut-sized chunks and roll into snakes.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
To make shiny pretzels, beat an egg and brush onto pretzels.
Sprinkle lightly with salt. Bake at 425Β° for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
