Soft Pretzels
Soft Pretzels is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1 1/2 c. lukewarm warm, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1 1/2 tsp. sugar and 4 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Soften the yeast in the lukewarm water. Add the salt and sugar. Add the flour and knead.
Do not let dough rise.
Cut into small pieces and roll in ropes (not too thick).
Twist into pretzel shapes, like praying arms.
Lay on foil covered cookie sheet dusted with flour. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.
Bake at 400Β° until golden, about 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 3 to 6 dozen.
