Soft Molasses Cookies
Soft Molasses Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1 c. molasses and 4 c. flour (1 c. more may be needed), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well. Stir in molasses. Add dry ingredients; mix thoroughly. Chill dough. Roll on floured cloth, 1/4-inch thickness. Sprinkle with sugar. Roll to make sugar thick. Cut with floured cutter.
Bake on lightly greased sheet at 350Β° for 10 minutes.
A raisin may be placed in center of cookie if desired.
