Soft Italian Cookies

Cream sugar and Crisco.
Add beaten eggs and lemon juice. Cream together.
Sift baking powder into flour.
Add flour and milk alternately to creamed mixture.
Put flour on wax paper. Roll into strips and cut into pieces, about 2 1/2 inches.
Bake at 350Β° until done, 8 to 10 minutes.
Cookies should be soft when done.
