Soft Cornbread
Soft Cornbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. yellow cornmeal, 2 tsp. baking powder, 2 c. boiling water, 2 eggs and 2 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Place first four ingredients in a bowl.
Scald with boiling water, stirring vigorously.
Add milk, eggs slightly beaten. Place bacon drippings in a medium size Pyrex bowl and heat in oven.
Pour hot drippings into mixture and stir.
Pour all into Pyrex bowl and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour in 425Β° oven or until brown on top.
Serve with spoon.
Delicious served with butter. Excellent with beef hash and gravy.
