Slow Cooked Pepper Steak
Slow Cooked Pepper Steak is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak, 2 tbsp. vegetable oil, 1/4 c. soy sauce, 1 c. chopped onions and 1 clove garlic, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cut steak into 1 x 3-inch strips. Brown in oil in a skillet. Transfer to a slow cooker. Combine soy sauce, onions, garlic, sugar, salt, pepper and ginger.
Pour over steak. Cover and cook on low setting for 5 or 6 hours or until meat is tender. Add tomatoes and green peppers. Cook for 1 hour longer. Combine cold water with cornstarch to make a paste.
Stir into liquid in slow cooker and cook on high setting until thickened. Serve over cooked noodles or rice.
