Skillet Cookies(From The Files Of Charlie Mae Williams) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 stick margarine, 3/4 c. granulated sugar, 2 egg yolks, 1/2 lb. chopped dates and 1 c. chopped pecans, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Combine margarine, sugar, dates and egg yolks in skillet. Cook 10 minutes over low heat, mashing dates as you stir.
Turn off heat; add vanilla, nuts and Rice Krispies.
When cool enough to handle, roll in coconut.
Roll in long roll about 1 1/2-inch thick.
Can also be rolled into balls about 1-inch.
Wrap roll in waxed paper or store in airtight container in refrigerator.
Takes about 8 hours to ripen.
