Shrimp Creole
Shrimp Creole is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. chopped onion, 1/2 c. diced celery, 1/2 c. chopped green pepper, 1 clove garlic, minced and 3 tbsp. oil or fat, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cook onion, celery, green pepper and garlic in hot oil until tender.
(If garlic clove is used, cook with vegetables; if powder is used, mix with dry ingredients.) Stir in flour, salt, sugar and pepper which have been mixed together.
Add water; simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
Add tomatoes, vinegar and bay leaves. Simmer 15 minutes.
Add shrimp and heat thoroughly.
Serve over hot rice.
