Shrimp Creole
Shrimp Creole is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/3 c. shortening, 1/4 c. flour, 1 lb. peeled, deveined raw shrimp, 1 garlic bud, minced and 1/2 c. minced onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Melt shortening.
Add flour; stir until it is brown.
Lower heat.
Add shrimp and cook about 3 minutes, or until pink.
Add garlic, onion, parsley and bell pepper; cook 2 minutes longer. Raise heat.
Gradually add water, then remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, then simmer, covered, for 20 to 30 minutes.
Serve hot over rice.
Serves 4.
