Shredded Wheat Raised Rolls
Shredded Wheat Raised Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 shredded wheat biscuits, 1 tbsp. shortening, 1 tbsp. salt, 1/2 c. molasses and 1 c. raisins (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Mix all ingredients except yeast and flour.
Let stand until lukewarm.
Add yeast and flour; let rise until double.
Punch down and let rise again (not necessary).
Put dough on lightly floured board and knead slightly.
Cut into rolls and put in well-greased pan to rise.
Bake in 350° to 375° oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. May need to cover with foil after 10 minutes to keep from browning.
