Scotch Shortbreads is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. unsalted butter, 1/2 c. confectioners or light brown sugar, 2 c. bread flour, 1/4 tsp. baking powder and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

In electric mixer, beat butter; add sugar gradually and flour sifted with baking powder and salt.
Fold in last half cup of flour by hand.
Roll in 1/3-inch thick, cut in squares or rounds, price with fork and decorate, if desired.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes in moderate 350Β° oven or until delicately brown.
Makes 24 or more.
