Scotch Shortbread is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft butter (not oleo), 5/8 c. sugar and 2 1/2 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Mix butter and sugar together.
Stir in flour.
Mix thoroughly with hands.
Chill dough; roll out 1/3 to 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Tops do not brown during baking, nor the shape of cookies change. Bake at 300Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
