Scalloped Oysters
Scalloped Oysters is an easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. shucked standard oyster with liquor, 2 to 3 c. fresh cracker crumbs, coarsely crushed, 1/2 c. margarine or butter (1 stick), 1 to 2 c. milk and salt and pepper (as desired), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
In a greased 2-quart casserole, place alternate layers of oysters and crackers, dotting each layer with margarine or butter and sprinkling with small amount of pepper.
End with layer of crumbs.
Add milk until liquid almost reaches top of casserole. Dot with remaining margarine or butter.
Bake at 350Β° until browned, 45 to 60 minutes. Use all oyster liquid.
Makes 6 generous servings.
