Parboil ribs in water with salt, garlic powder, sage and onion.
Combine barbecue sauce and honey in a bowl.
After ribs partially cook, drain.
In a large bowl or pan, arrange ribs with meaty side down.
Pour in barbecue sauce and marinate overnight, covered.
Cook in slow oven (300° to 325°) until tender. Additional salt or spices may be added.
Can be cooked in crock-pot.
