Sauerkraut Casserole
Sauerkraut Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. mild italian sausage links, cut into 1-inch slices, 1 large onion, chopped, 2 apples, peeled and quartered, 1 (27 oz.) can sauerkraut (undrained) and 1 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
In a skillet, cook sausage and onion until sausage is brown and onion is tender; drain.
Stir in apples, sauerkraut, water, brown sugar and caraway seed.
Transfer to a 2 1/2-quart baking dish.
Cover and bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
Garnish with parsley, if desired.
