Sandra's Crab Soup
Sandra'S Crab Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 doz. or more crabs, boiled in highly seasoned water, 1 stick butter or margarine, 1 onion, finely chopped, 6 mushrooms, thinly sliced and fresh rosemary and basil, chopped (1/2 tsp. each dried will do if fresh not available), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Boil crabs for 10 minutes.
Turn heat off; let crabs soak in seasoned water for 20 to 30 minutes.
Cool crabs and pick, saving "roe" if fortunate to have "she crabs."
(The more crabs, the better.)
