Salted Peanut Crisps
Salted Peanut Crisps is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft shortening, 1 1/2 c. brown sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla and 3 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Heat oven to 375Β°.
Mix thoroughly in bowl shortening, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla.
Set aside.
Stir in another bowl flour, salt and baking soda.
Mix the dry ingredients into the shortening mixture.
Stir in the salted peanuts.
Drop by rounded teaspoons about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
Grease the bottom of a glass.
To flatten each cookie, dip glass in sugar and press down on cookie.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 6 dozen cookies.
