Salmon Casserole
Salmon Casserole is an impressive dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 14 minutes. Made with c. chopped onions, c. chopped green peppers, c. diced celery, c. sliced mushrooms and c. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Saute onions, green peppers, celery and mushrooms in melted butter until lightly browned.
Add flour, salt and pepper and mix well.
Gradually stir in evaporated milk, then water and cook until smooth and thickened, stirring constantly.
Arrange layers of salmon, peas, white sauce and potato chips in buttered 2-quart casserole.
Top with layer of potato chips and dot with butter. Cover and bake in 375Β° oven for 25 minutes.
Uncover and bake 10 minutes longer or until top is brown.
