Safflower Oil Biscuits
Safflower Oil Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 1 3/4 c. flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, 1/3 c. safflower oil and 2/3 c. buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Preheat oven to 475Β° (very hot).
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
Pour oil and milk into measuring cup, but do not stir. Pour all at once into flour.
Stir with fork until mixture cleans sides of bowl and rounds up into a ball.
Smooth by kneading dough about 10 times without any additional flour.
With dough on waxed paper, press out 1/4-inch thick with hands or roll between waxed paper.
Cut with unfloured biscuit cutter.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes on ungreased baking sheet.
Makes 12 biscuits.
