Russian Tea Cakes
Russian Tea Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft butter (do not melt), 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Heat oven to 400Β°.
Mix butter, sugar and vanilla.
Stir flour, salt and nuts together.
With hands, work in flour mixture until dough holds together.
Form dough into 1-inch balls.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes until set, but not brown.
While warm, roll in confectioners sugar.
Cool; roll in sugar again.
Makes 4 dozen 1-inch cookies.
