Dice onion.
Salt and pepper the steaks.
Add rosemary and sprinkle half the diced onion on steaks along with half of dill pickle, cut in 4 long slices.
Roll steaks, using toothpicks to hold them together.
Heat 2 tablespoons shortening in skillet and brown steaks on both sides.
Remove steaks and place in casserole.
