Refrigerated Strawberry Jam
Refrigerated Strawberry Jam is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 tsp. unflavored gelatin, 1 1/2 tbsp. cold water, 3 c. strawberries, crushed, 1 1/2 tbsp. liquid sucaryl and 1/4 tsp. ascorbic acid powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Soften gelatin in cold water.
Combine strawberries and Sucaryl in saucepan.
Place over high heat and stir constantly until mixture comes to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Add softened gelatin; return to heat and continue to cook for 1 minute.
Remove from heat; blend in ascorbic acid powder and food coloring, if necessary.
Ladle into clean half pint jars; seal.
Store in fridge.
Makes 2 1/2 pint jars.
