Red Velvet Cocoa Cake
Red Velvet Cocoa Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, softened, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 eggs and 1 tbsp. red food coloring, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla.
Add eggs and food coloring; blend well.
In separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa and salt; blend this into first mixture, alternately adding buttermilk, mixing to a creamy mixture.
In a cup, stir soda into vinegar; fold this carefully into batter (do not beat).
Pour into 2 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool completely.
