Red Velvet Cake
Red Velvet Cake is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 18 minutes. Made with c. butter, softened, c. sugar, eggs, . cocoa and c. red food coloring, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Cream butter, sugar and eggs in bowl until light and fluffy. Add mixture of cocoa and food coloring; mix well.
Add salt, buttermilk, flour and vanilla; mix well.
Stir in mixture of vinegar and baking soda.
Spoon into 2 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Cool.
Split layers horizontally; spread with Fluffy White Frosting between layers and over top of cake.
