Red Clam Sauce
Red Clam Sauce is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour. Made with c. chopped canned baby clams with juice, small onion, chopped, c. olive oil, c. butter and fresh minced garlic, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Saute clams in oil and butter mixture for 2 minutes; add garlic, onions and parsley to clams.
Saute for 2 more minutes; add wine, parsley and tomato sauce.
Salt and pepper to taste. Cook on low heat (simmer for 10 to 15 minutes).
Serve hot over linguine or spaghetti.
Serves 2 to 4, depending on desired amount of sauce your guests like.
