Raisin Crisscross Cookies
Raisin Crisscross Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. soft shortening, 1/4 c. butter or oleo, 1 egg, 1 3/4 c. sifted flour and 3/4 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Heat oven to 400Β°.
Mix well the shortening, sugar, egg and flavoring.
Sift together and stir in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
Stir in raisins.
Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Place about 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with fork dipped in flour, making crisscross pattern.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen.
