Raisin Cookies
Raisin Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. raisins, 1 1/4 c. water, 1 tsp. baking soda, 2 c. sugar and 1 c. shortening or oleo, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Boil the raisins and water for 5 minutes. Cool and stir in the baking soda. Cream the sugar, shortening or oleo, vanilla and eggs.
Add the cooled raisin mixture, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and baking powder.
Nuts can be added. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased pan. Bake at 375Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
Should be a soft cookie.
