Quick Molasses Popcorn Balls is an easy dinner. Made with 3 qt. popped corn, 1 c. mild molasses, 1 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Keep corn warm in a 250Β° oven.
Mix molasses, sugar and salt in a 2-quart saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.
Cook without stirring 4 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour syrup slowly over popped corn, mixing with a buttered fork.
Continue to toss and mix to distribute syrup evenly.
When cool enough to handle but still quite warm, shape into cornballs.
Let stand in a warm place until cool and cornballs lose their stickiness.
Wrap in plastic film or put each ball in a small plastic bag; tie securely.
Store in covered container.
