Pound Cake
Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter, 1/2 c. crisco, 3 c. sugar, 5 large eggs, separated, beat whites and 1 c. sweet milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Beat egg whites until stiff, set aside.
Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until creamy.
Add yolks, one at a time, beating as you go.
Add flavorings.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Fold in flour and sweet milk alternately.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Beat until mixed.
Bake in tube pan at 350Β°, about 1 hour or until done.
Turn out on cake plate to cool.
Leave pan on top.
