Pound Cake
Pound Cake is an easy dinner. Made with 6 eggs, 1 lb. powdered sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla, 3 c. sifted cake flour and 1 lb. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream the shortening, adding the powdered sugar and beating until smooth.
Then add the eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth after the addition of each egg.
Add the vanilla and flour, making sure that the mixture is completely smooth when finished. Bake in an angel food cake pan or small loaf pan (lightly greased) on the lowest rack of your oven at 325Β° for 1 1/2 hours.
Cool on a wire rack.
Cake can be frozen easily.
