Peel and slice potatoes 1/4-inch thick.

Boil until soft. Drain and put half of the potatoes in a 3-quart dish.

Mix cream of chicken soup and sour cream well.

Space spoonfuls of mixture over potatoes, leaving half for second layer.

Grate all of the cheese and spread a good layer of cheese, then repeat, potatoes, mixture and cheese.

Top well with cornflakes.

Melt butter or margarine and pour over cornflakes or spoon over cornflakes.

If more is needed, melt more.

Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350Β°.
