Pork Casserole
Pork Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 cans sauerkraut, 6 thick cut lean pork chops, 1 lb. hot sausage, cut in 1-inch pieces, 1 can mushroom soup (undiluted) and 1/2 c. sherry, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Wash and drain sauerkraut in a heavy pot.
Fry the chops and sausage until well done.
Set aside, pouring out fat, but don't wash pot.
Add sauerkraut and all other ingredients, stirring well.
Mix in sausage.
Lay chops over the rest in the pot, arranging layers.
Simmer on the top of the stove for 1 hour or more.
(Do not use salt.)
