In small bowl, pour boiling water over raisins and let stand. Beat eggs and sugar until light.
Add oil, then pork and beans. Mix until beans are thoroughly mashed.
Sift together flour, soda, cinnamon, salt and baking powder and add to mixture.
Add vanilla and chopped nuts if preferred.
Drain raisins and add to batter. Mix well.
Pour into 3 well-greased loaf pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 to 50 minutes.
