Polish Kraut Bake
Polish Kraut Bake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 large onions, sliced, 1/4 c. cooking oil, 2 lb. bag or jar sauerkraut, rinsed and drained well (press down), 2 lb. fresh kielbasa (polish sausage), cut into 3-inch pieces and 1 can cream of mushroom soup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Heat oil in skillet and fry onions on medium heat until caramelized.
Set aside.
Brown sausage.
Layer half of the sauerkraut in a 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
Then layer half the onions.
Next, layer all of the sausage, the other half of the sauerkraut and onions.
Mix the water and soup together and pour over the top.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
Cover with foil the last 15 minutes.
Better made early and reheated.
