Pineapple Pork Sweet and Sour
Pineapple Pork Sweet And Sour is an impressive dinner. Made with 3/4 lb. lean pork, cut into 1/2-inch squares, 1 egg, well beaten, 1/2 tsp. accent, 1/2 c. chicken broth and 3 tbsp. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Dip pork in beaten egg.
Combine flour, Accent and salt in bag.
Add pork and shake.
In large skillet, heat enough oil to fry the pork.
Fry pork for 6 to 8 minutes or until well browned. Remove and drain.
In skillet, combine chicken broth, soy sauce, sugar, pineapple syrup, catsup and vinegar and bring to boil.
Mix cornstarch (4 teaspoons) with 4 teaspoons cold water.
Stir into sauce, cooking until it thickens.
Add pork, pineapple, onions and bell pepper.
Cook, stirring rapidly, for about 4 minutes.
Serve with hot rice.
