Pickled Cow Tongue
Pickled Cow Tongue is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. vinegar, 1 tsp. whole cloves, 1 bay leaf, 1/4 c. sugar and 1 small onion, sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Put tongue in large kettle.
Cover with water and 2 teaspoons of salt.
Cook until done, approximately 6 hours.
Remove from water.
Peel tongue and slice.
Combine all ingredients, except tongue.
Simmer for 20 minutes.
Pour over tongue; let stand until cool.
Refrigerate for 2 days.
