Philadelphia Pound Cake
Philadelphia Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened, 3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 4 large eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Let all ingredients come to room temperature.
Beat cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl with mixer until thoroughly blended.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each addition.
Gradually add flour and baking powder; mix on low speed until blended.
Pour into greased and floured 9x5 in. baking pan or 10 in. tube pan.
Bake at 325 degrees for one hour and twenty minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool five minutes before removing from pan.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving if desired.
