Pepper Steaks
Pepper Steaks is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tenderloin steaks (8 oz. each), 4 slices bacon, 1 tbsp. mixed peppercorns (pink, green, black and white), 1 tsp. thyme and 2 tbsp. cognac, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Wrap bacon slice around edges of each steak.
Coarsely grind pepper and mix with thyme and salt.
Press 1/2 teaspoon onto both sides of steaks.
Drizzle cognac over both sides of steaks.
Cover and marinate at least 2 hours (overnight is better).
Grill, panfry or boil to desired doneness but be sure to sear both sides, then lower temperature to finish cooking.
