Pepper Steak
Pepper Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. round steak, 1/4 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 3 tbsp. shortening and 1 medium green pepper, thinly sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Pound flour and salt into steak with meat mallet.
Cut into serving size pieces; brown in shortening in large skillet.
Remove meat pieces to platter.
Saute green pepper and onion.
Stir in pimento, applesauce, Worcestershire sauce and bouillon.
Add meat; cover and simmer 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Serve with rice or noodles.
Serves 4 to 6.
