Pepper Jelly
Pepper Jelly is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 8 minutes. Made with c. bell pepper, chopped very fine in blender, c. hot red pepper, chopped, c. sugar, (6 oz.) bottle certo and or 4 drops green food coloring, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Mix both kinds of peppers.
Add vinegar and sugar.
Bring to a rolling boil and boil 7 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool 5 minutes.
Add Certo and coloring; mix thoroughly.
Pour in jars and seal.
Skim off foam with a spoon just before pouring in jars. (You can use vinegar.)
