Butter a 9-inch square pan.

Combine sugars, cream, milk and butter in saucepan.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until 238° on candy thermometer.

Cool to 110°.

Add vanilla. Beat until it loses gloss.

Add walnuts.

Pour into pan.
