Pecan Penuche Candy
Pecan Penuche Candy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. light brown sugar, 1 c. sour cream, 1/4 c. dark corn syrup, 1 tbsp. butter and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Put in saucepan the brown sugar, sour cream and corn syrup. Cook to soft ball stage (234°).
Add the butter and vanilla.
Let stand without stirring until candy cools to 112°.
Add the pecans and stir until stiff enough to drop by teaspoonfuls on wax paper. Let stand a few hours before removing from paper.
Store in layers with wax paper between.
Makes about 2 pounds.
