Peanut Butter Fudge

Combine sugar, milk, corn syrup and salt together in a saucepan.
Heat sugar syrup to 234Β° on a candy thermometer or until a little syrup forms a soft ball in cold water.
Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
Remove saucepan from range and place in cold water.
Add butter and peanut butter.
Let mixture cool to lukewarm without gloss; quickly add nuts.
Pour into 8 x 8-inch buttered pan.
Cool and cut into pieces.
