Peanut Butter Buckeyes
Peanut Butter Buckeyes is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter, 1 stick margarine, 2 2/3 c. confectioners sugar, 12 oz. chocolate morsels and 2 (1 x 1/2-inch) pieces paraffin, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Blend peanut butter, margarine and sugar with a wooden spoon. Knead with hands until mixture is smooth. Roll into 1/2-inch balls.
Shave paraffin.
Place half of the paraffin with half of the chocolate morsels in a saucepan.
Heat over low fire until chocolate melts.
Pour into cup.
Spear balls with a toothpick and dip each ball into chocolate until it is almost covered.
Remove toothpick.
Place the buckeye down so that the peanut butter opening is on top.
Repeat with remaining peanut butter balls. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
