Peanut Brittle
Peanut Brittle is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 14 minutes. Made with c. water, c. white karo syrup, c. sugar, c. raw peanuts and heaping tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Bring water, syrup and sugar to a boil.
Add peanuts.
Cook to 295Β°.
Add soda and stir.
(Cook in 3-quart boiler because when you add soda it will foam up.)
Pour on greased cookie sheets.
As soon as the edges begin to cool, start pulling and stretching the candy as you would taffy.
Break off edges as they cool and continue pulling center.
