Peanut Brittle
Peanut Brittle is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. water, 1 c. light karo syrup, 2 c. raw peanuts and dash of salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Combine sugar, water and Karo syrup in a heavy, large saucepan and boil to the hard-ball stage.
Check either by the cold water method or a candy thermometer.
Remove from heat.
Add raw peanuts and salt.
Mixture will be quite thick. Return to fire golden brown and the nuts smell done.
Take from the fire. Add baking soda and vanilla.
Pour out on a buttered thoroughly cooled, crack into pieces and serve.
